Sonya J. Sabbah is a British-born LebaneseCertified Executive/Life Coach and Master
Certified Coach Trainer who partners with clients to help them achieve their
maximum potential. Sonya is also a Certified Master Trainer and psychologist,
as well as founder of Excellence First Leadership Academy (EFLA) and published
author.
Sonya graduated from the University of London with a
Bachelor degree (LLB) in Law (Honours) and worked with the United Nations for 6
years as a Humanitarian Lawyer. She studied Journalism and Newswriting at the
London School of Journalism and worked as a staff reporter for the Daily Star
newspaper & Lebanon Opportunities Business Magazine. She acquired
her Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree with Merit in Psychology from the
University of Derby (UK).
Sonya designs many coaching and corporate training
programs herself especially for the youths, employees and business executives
which she runs regularly, using games and practical exercises. Her main forte
lies in mindset shifting, leadership development, public speaking, emotional
intelligence, personal branding and well-being. Sonya served as a leadership
instructor at the Center of Continuing Education at Haigazian University and is
invited regularly to lecture at various universities. She is currently a
part-time instructor at Phoenicia University where she lectures on Psychology,
Leadership and Public Speaking. She also lectures at the Lebanese American
University (LAU) on Wellbeing.
Sonya is a member of the International Coach Federation
(ICF) and is a former board member of the Lebanese League of Women in Business (LLWB).
She appears on a number of local & regional media outlets as a resident
expert & still writes for a number of magazines. Sonya launched her first
book "Etiquette in the City: Beirut” in 2011, and is in the process of writing
her second book. Sonya was awarded the "Civility
Award” as well as the Certificate of Distinguished Service as Member of the
AICI area Ambassadors’ Committee.
